I signed up with Marco Day at Verani/Hathaway in June 2023 and was looking for a house in the Upper Valley area off and on for 2+ years since then. Marco was extremely helpful and informative from the start, and was almost always immediately available when we showed up to look at properties once every few months. When I finally decided to make an offer on a property last October (2025), he was completely responsive at every step. His advice to apply for a HELOC enabled me to make the offer in a timely fashion. When a direct off-market offer materialized for my current home we didn't immediately realize that this would interfere with the use of the HELOC to close on the New Hampshire house a week before close of escrow on the California house: the problem was principally due to lapse in communication with my loan officer who was out of reach at the time, but neither I nor the agents on either end at first foresaw the issue. Following that, however, Marco did everything he could to help move around closing dates to enable a direct cash transaction, which – despite some last-minute delays on the other side – worked out fine in the end. Marco consistently went above and beyond with every detail along the way: inspections, local real-estate attorneys, insurance, and countless other matters. He helped negotiate the sale price down by $55K to cover a variety of imminent repairs (plumbing, electrical wiring). When the time comes to sell and/or relocate locally in the Upper Valley, I will absolutely sign up with him again.
